Product Introduction
High-performance dual-jacket ADSS cable for long-span crossings up to 1500 meters — rivers, valleys, highways, and high-voltage corridors. Double-layer HDPE with water-blocking technology, 2-288 cores. Custom-engineered with span-by-span sag-tension calculations for your project. Double jacket ADSS cables designed for large spans (200m to 1500m) are engineered for demanding aerial installations where standard cables are not suitable. They are self-supporting, non-metallic, and built to withstand significant environmental loads.

Keyed Characteristics

Standard range is 200M to 1500M. For spans exceeding 1500M, DONGGUAN BOSTER provides custom engineering with specialized sag-tension calculations, enhanced strength members, and icing load design tailored to your project.

Applications

✔ Extra-High-Voltage Transmission Lines (≥110kV): OPGW replacement or co-location on existing transmission towers with full dielectric safety.
✔ Long-Span Crossings: River, valley, and highway crossings up to 1500M — eliminating the need for intermediate support structures.
✔ Inter-City Backbone Networks: High-capacity fiber backbones leveraging existing power infrastructure corridors.
✔ Heavy Ice & Typhoon Zones: Custom icing load and wind load design for extreme weather deployments. Contact ZTO engineering for site-specific calculations.

How Specifications Change with Span Length

The cable's physical characteristics, particularly its diameter and tensile strength requirements, scale directly with the span. More aramid yarn is needed to support the cable's own weight over longer distances, increasing the cable's diameter and weight . A product data sheet shows this relationship clearly:
