Product Introduction
The GYFTA53 is a heavy-duty, double-armored fiber optic cable specifically designed for the most challenging direct burial and underground duct installations. t features double armor and double jacket constructions, providing superior mechanical protection and durability. This cable is commonly used for long-distance communication links and installations where the cable needs to be buried directly in the ground without the need for additional ducts or conduits. The fibers, 250μm, are positioned in a loose tube made of a high modulus plastic. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound. A Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) locates in the center of core as a non-metallic strength member. The tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the strength member into a compact and circular core. An Aluminum Polyethylene Laminate (APL) is applied around the cable core. Then the cable core is covered with a thin polyethylene (PE) inner sheath, which is filled with jelly to protect it from water ingress. After a corrugated steel tape armor is applied, the cable is completed with a PE outer sheath.
Keyed Characteristics
Good mechanical and temperature performance;
High strength looes tube that is hydrolysis resistant;
Special tube filling compound ensure a critical protection of fiber;
Crush resistance and flexibility.

The following measures are taken to ensure the cable watertight:
Single Fiber Reinforced Plastic as the central strength member;
Loose tube filling compound;
100% cable core filling;
APL moisture barrier;
PSP enhancing moisture-proof;
Water-blocking material.

Application
Aerial and Self-Supporting Drops
The primary application for the GYFXTY cable is aerial installation. Its design allows it to be used as a self-supporting drop cable between poles or from a distribution point to a building, without needing a separate supporting messenger wire. It is considered an economic and compact alternative to more complex ADSS cable designs for shorter spans.
